Sarees vs Western Wear: What I Actually Prefer Now
If you had asked me a few years ago what I preferred wearing, my answer would have been immediate—western wear. It was easy. Comfortable. Quick. Jeans, tops, dresses—no effort, no planning. And sarees? They felt like a commitment. But somewhere along the way, my perspective changed. Today, I still wear western outfits—but when I truly want to feel good, I often reach for a saree. Not because I have to. Because I want to. Western wear is practical. It fits into fast routines and busy days. But sarees feel different. They slow you down—in a good way. When I wear a saree, I become more aware of myself. The way I walk, the way I sit, the way I carry myself. It adds a sense of grace that I don’t usually feel in everyday outfits. And it’s not about comparison. It’s about experience. There are days when I want comfort and speed—and western wear is perfect. But there are days when I want to feel elegant, connected, and a little more… present. And on those days, nothing matches a saree.
